Seattle Nice: Who Will Get Teresa Mosqueda's Old Seat on the City Council?
Plus, we discuss the new council president's plans for the least experienced city council in more than a century.
The first order of business for the new city council, which includes five new members, will be appointing a temporary replacement for Teresa Mosqueda, who was just elected to the King County Council. We discuss that process (and the names we’re hearing), along with Sara Nelson’s new role as council president, on this week’s Seattle Nice.
Editorial note: The Seattle Nice team recorded this podcast on Sunday, one day before Nelson replaced council central staff director Esther Handy with revenue forecast office director Ben Noble, so you won’t hear about that shakeup on the show; for more on that, check out this week’s stories from David (who broke the news on Monday) and Erica (who broke it down on Tuesday).
