The regional approach was from the beginning a cynical excuse for not doing the things that would solve our housing crisis - creating homes and shelters along with changing land use codes and budgets to do so. It felt obvious in those early meetings that it was electeds kicking the can down the road until no one involved would remain in office having had to do something. Then the new crop could start the whole study/do-nothing cycle we've been doing on this issue since the late 1800s. I felt like such a cynical jerk at the time for believing KCRHA was not being created in good faith. I felt bad when I saw they hired Mark and suspected they were set up to fail. But here we are.
