I believe the forthcoming Trumpite/Christonazi tyranny will equal in sadism and murderousness the regime of Pinochet in Chile, and The New York Times has given my hypothesis its imprimatur by publishing it in a comment thread, where it received 28 recommends. This of course implies we are facing replication of the horrors of Hitler's Third Reich. Thus the only valid question is to what extent will the U.S. population surrender to Trump's ecogenocidal agenda before an effective resistance evolves from the ruins of our nation.
Frankly, the veteran of a long history of radical activism including the Civil Rights, Anti-Vietnam-War and Occupy movements, I do not think the generations young enough to meet the physical demands of active resistance possess either the requisite courage or the essential willingness to set aside their conditioned self-obsessiveness enough to embrace the discipline required for effective solidarity. And there is no question they lack the vital skills, which is the fulfillment of why Nixon abolished the draft: he recognized the fatal mistake in Tsarist Russia's compulsory military service, which provided the training, discipline and knowledge without which revolution -- or even effective resistance -- is proven by history to be impossible.)
